Ballroom Dancing

No previous dance experience or partner necessary

Please join us for an easy and fun class of learning the basics of Ballroom and Latin dancing. Learn to Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba, easy Jive (Swing) and Cha Cha Cha – great for weddings and social occasions!

Tutor Tiina Walsh has danced all her life, and her main love in dancing is Ballroom and Latin dancing.

Please join us to learn a range of Line Dances from traditional to modern styles. We have easy to follow routines and great music in a friendly atmosphere. Line Dancing is a great way of improving your fitness without the feeling of having “to do” exercise – it keeps your mind sharp, too! And you will go home in a great mood!

Tutor Tiina Walsh has danced all her life, and she loves Line Dancing for the relaxed and free-styling character of the dance style – it is so much fun dancing the same steps together as a group!

Elena Brooks holds an honours ITEC Pilates qualification.  She loves teaching smaller groups so that each student gets individual attention, ensuring that they apply correct technique throughout the class.  She adapts exercises depending on each student's ability and experience.

On this course you will be introduced to the following:

·  Exercises for loosening joints

·  Breathing technique for relaxation

·  Standing Meditation for conditioning the mind and body

·  Introduction on taiji philosophy

·  Perform a set of taiji & qigong routine to consolidate the above and to produce health benefits mentioned above.

By completing this program, the new student will have acquired the basic skills to enable them to be able to relax and cope better with daily stresses.  Just wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
